CARE & BEAR

Both these revision resources follow the same format as PEAR (or Physics Exercises for Assessment and Revision) reviewed here in March 1998. The very many revision questions come in pdf fomat on a CD-ROM now instead of floppy disks, and are viewed with the Acrobat reader. All of the Positive comments made about PEAR in its review can be similarly applied to both of these titles. They are both easy to load and use. The variety of questions is breathtaking and there is plenty of support for students and teachers alike, in the form of photocopiable question sheets and answer schemes. BEAR and CARE complete a revision suite that would be an absolute boon to any busy science department where time is a precious resource. This package doesn't come cheap but can probably be justified by the quality of the resource.
